We were just informed that we are flying to Uganda on September 30th. Yikes! This is really happening.
No stress here. We arrive back from our holiday on the 12th. Plenty of time to do a million things!

Can't believe this is happening so fast Annie. You will be sorely missed by us but we will be checking in here often. If we can help you by sending you something you need just let us know.
Best of luck to the two of you..have fun in the states with your family before you go. Be safe and I most certainly will be looking forward to your updates on your wonderful adventure.
Blessings to you and Danny while you are away on your grand adventure. We shall keep the homefires burning for you both as we await your safe return. May the heavens above smile down on you both, you are doing a wonderful deed and already getting repaid by being given an experience of a lifetime. Keep us informed and let us know if you want anything from home!!!
Enjoy! I have had two friends who've lived in Uganda...one for almost 20 yrs, the other for about 2 I think. They both loved it. One was an education volunteer---let me know if you'd like me to put you in touch.
..and Danny call Scotland home and lived near Mbarara in SW Uganda for 2 years with VSO-UK. Danny volunteered to teach science and IT at a primary teachers college. We returned home October 2009.

Thanks Cheryl. I'll keep in touch. I'm afraid customs fees may make packages too dear, but will check.

Suzer, I've heard from quite a few people who've volunteered in Uganda and they loved it there! One currently lives in Cornwall and is missing Uganda.
